Our story, mission and future

Inspiring the next generation

The climate crisis, recent pandemics and world food scarcity are constant reminders that the world needs more scientists and entrepreneurs.

We are a registered charity with a mission to demystify scientific careers, diversify the faces of science and empower confident, skilled problem solvers to be our future scientists.

Based in The Learning Lab at Science Creates Old Market, we offer behind-the-scenes tours of deep tech science laboratories, curriculum linked workshops and conversations with researchers and engineers, to spark young people’s interest in science.

Bringing science to life

Educational outreach has been an important part of Science Creates’ story since 2017. By giving students real experiences of what it’s like to be a scientist, we show them that science is done by people just like them and equip them with the skills required to change the world.

Science Creates Outreach puts young people in the heart of working science laboratories, where entrepreneurs are improving healthcare, quality of life and the environment around us.

Making an impact

2500 children have already joined us to don white lab coats and immerse themselves in hands-on learning. Our goal is to welcome an additional 3000 visitors in the coming year.

The next generation of scientific leaders will improve and protect our future – we make sure that we inspire them by offering primary and secondary learners a unique learning experience.

“I want to be a scientist now!” and “Science Creates Outreach held a fantastic, engaging and thought provoking session for our students - thank you!” highlight the importance of our work, to-date.
