The Learning Lab

The Learning Lab is an inclusive, state-of-the-art research space at Science Creates Old Market, where you have the chance to get hands on with experiments, behind-the-scenes tours of deep tech at work and have conversations with researchers and engineers.

The minimum age to visit The Learning Lab is Year 5 (9-10 years old) and we have a maximum class size of 30.

Visits include:

See advanced equipment up close and observe scientists at work with a behind-the-scenes look at the groundbreaking work happening right here in Bristol.

Hands-on workshops

Conduct hands-on experiments which build the skills and confidence to pursue science, through curriculum-linked STEM workshops led by pioneering scientists.

Internships and work experience

Work experience at Science Creates Outreach gives GCSE, A-Level and University students a unique insight into the world of science and the career variety that it offers.

Whilst collaborating with the team and meeting a range of scientists, students will develop well-rounded organisational, research and laboratory skills, and more.
