Don white lab coats and get hands on in The Learning Lab by booking a company away day with us.

Enjoy a day of interactive science experiments, an exclusive tour of working labs, have a delicious lunch, and even rent our bar for drinks at the end of the day. It’s a unique experience filled with learning, inspiration, and team building.

Even better, your visit directly supports hundreds of young people, helping them explore STEM and entrepreneurship too.

Plan your visit

  • All visits kick off with a short 15 minute presentation about Science Creates, what the charity does and the impact your visit will have to help hundreds more young people visit The Learning Lab and be inspired into a career in science.

  • Switch out your jackets for white lab coats. We offer a range of hands-on adult experiment sessions which spark curiosity and improve team building skills like collaboration, adaptability and problem solving.

    Your team could be extracting fruit DNA, playing (safely!) with liquid nitrogen, or even making edible water pods!

  • Discover the groundbreaking scientific work taking place right here in Bristol, with a private guided tour of Science Creates.

    Peek inside the labs and discover cutting-edge technologies. You will learn more about a company tackling plastic pollution, another aiming to save lives by transforming the time taken to diagnose disease, or one passionate about removing antibiotics from animal feed.

  • The Learning Lab will be yours for the day, so if you’d like to start your day with a team meeting, hold internal presentations in the afternoon or have some company brainstorming time using the 75” interactive whiteboard in The Learning Lab, please just let us know and we will work the timetable around this.

  • Encourage colleagues to chat and get to know one another better, by adding a variety of delicious catering to enjoy in breaks throughout your visit.

    Upon request, our dedicated events team can provide fresh coffees, teas, a selection of cakes, biscuits and a fresh and delicious lunch sourced from local and seasonal catering company ‘Kate’s Kitchen’.

    If you opt to add this to your day, your group will have a dedicated social space to enjoy your catering throughout your visit.

  • Wind-down at the end of the day by adding the private rental of our on-site bar onto your booking. 

    Adjacent to The Learning Lab, the 1023 bar offers a dedicated bar team and a selection of draught lager, wine, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks and alcohol free options, plus snacks and more. This creates the perfect space for your team to relax and connect at the end of a fun packed day.

    This add-on is available from 5.00pm - 8.30pm.

Rent The Learning Lab

  • The Learning Lab is a state-of-the-art laboratory, available for private hire.

    It offers versatile layout options suited to a variety of private meetings and activities and can also be used as an exhibition, extension or demo space.

    With optional catering and private bar access also available, you can tailor your time here to suit your needs.

  • Upon request, our events team can provide fresh coffees, teas, a selection of cakes, biscuits, pastries and a fresh, delicious lunch sourced from local and seasonal catering company ‘Kate’s Kitchen’. 

    If you opt to add this on, you will have a dedicated space outside of the lab to enjoy your catering.

  • Add the private rental of our on-site bar onto your booking.
