  • The Learning Lab is located at Science Creates Old Market, Midland Road, BS2 0NS. We’re about a 10-15 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station so public transport is an option in planning your travel to us.

  • You can get the train to us (we are a 10-15 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station) or, if driving, there is parking space available. Please mention this when booking.

  • We are a charity with a mission to demystify careers in science, diversify the faces of science and empower confident, skilled problem solvers who will be our future scientists. In order to carry on offering workshops and sessions for children all over Bristol, we have a suggested donation of £150 for a 2 hour session here (that works out as £5 per child for a class of 30). If this is not something you can afford, please let us know and we can discuss other options. We also have a 'Pay it Forward' scheme so schools/groups can donate additional funds to support others.

  • Once we have arranged a date, agreed to your suggested donation and got you booked in for your visit, you will be sent details on how to pay.

  • You are welcome to bring lunch and eat it outside on the grass in our grounds, but unfortunately we cannot have food in The Learning Lab so there are no indoor spaces for you to eat.

  • Everything is designed around the age and ability of the learners visiting us but before the day we will share a risk assessment with you for your visit.

On the day we ask that long hair is tied back, all visitors wear covered shoes and there is no food or drink consumed in The Learning Lab.

  • Yes. We have a document that shows you the location and some of the people you will meet on your visit, you can find it here
